Lunarpages recently released a new cheaper hosting plan that I think a lot of people will be excited about. From the sound of it, they are meeting their users’ demands again with the Starter hosting plan.
This cheap (£1.99 per month!) plan is perfect for personal web sites, small blogs, and anybody who wants to get started hosting – but might not have that big of a budget.

Check out this blog post over at Lunarpages Web Hosting. Dreamhost basically steals their customers’ money, over $7.5 million according to reports, and then laughs about it on their blog by saying (these are direct quotes, by the way):
“Um, whoops!”
“If your next web hosting bill from us is mysteriously tripled, now you know why.”
“… you thought it was a joke! Ha, the joke is on you!”
Dreamhost simply doesn’t care!!
What is worse, though they attempt to rectify the situation, experts say it could take YEARS to fully fix this simple “glitch” in their software: “It’s not something that can be fixed overnight, as it’s a complicated system error – if their technicians made the mistake of pushing this change live without waiting to check a simple date stamp, then there’s most likely other glitches that are going unnoticed.” (See Lunarpages for more information)
